Municipal Theater of Argostoli “O Kefalos” – 26 to 30 August 2021
A few words from me…
For several years I have been thinking about my participation in a group exhibition of paintings in Argostoli, where I lived for many years. But a fear, a shyness always held me back. Fear of whether they would like my work even though the reactions of my friends when I showed them were very encouraging. Shyness, because being completely self-taught, I was in awe of the works of artists who had studied for years. I discovered techniques and ways to express what I wanted, just by drawing again and again and again. But was that enough?
The confinement during the pandemic offered me enough time to paint a lot and at the same time raise – in my opinion – the quality of my work. By painting, I am constantly discovering new things. I now had quite a large number of projects and felt that the time had come to make the big decision. Somehow and with the encouragement of dear friends, I held my first Individual Painting Exhibition entitled “With my palette of colors”. The title was no accident, since I love color in whatever that means.
My Exhibition was warmly embraced by friends, acquaintances and strangers. I received particularly warm feelings and was filled with strength and enthusiasm!!!
